Naomi veitch in artist studio, with paints and brushes

ABOUT NAOMI

Naomi Veitch is a visual artist, living and working on the New South Wales Central Coast of Australia.  Naomi lives with her husband, along with their three daughters, a dog, turtles & fish

Her home studio is in the treetops, surrounded by bush land, so an abundance of wildlife frequents the home. All sorts of birds in including a tawny frogmouth which nests just off the deck each year. There is a huge bush turkey nest outside the studio window. Lizards, snakes (mainly pythons luckily) and an echidna is seen on occasion. An animal artists paradise.

Naomi has painted pet portraits in oils on occasion over the years whilst pursuing a career in sign writing. After moving to the Central Coast of NSW in 2014. Naomi changed direction and now is a full-time professional artist.

She started using acrylics and changed her painting style slightly to be freer with the brush. Resulting in a painting that looks like a painting not a photograph. Whilst keeping the animals colouring true to life with perfect proportions and captures the personality of the animal with paint on canvas. Naomi has recently started painting large statement artworks for homes or offices featuring animals.

Visit Naomi's other site Coastal Art Australia where she creates original coastal art for modern living, inspired by the beaches, rivers and wildlife of the Australian coast
